The Needles Beach lies along the Werribee River, 600 meters upstream from Lionhead Beach. This secluded riverside spot is accessible via the Werribee Gorge Circuit Walk, situated 2 kilometers from the Meikles Point Picnic Area parking facilities.

As a more distant stop along the circuit, it rewards hikers with a peaceful riverside retreat. The beach takes its name from the distinctive rock formations in this section of the gorge, offering visitors a unique geological backdrop to their river experience.
